Learning illustrator…….

Hello Darlings!

Happy Friday eve!!! I ‘m sure you all are ready for the weekend?! Lord, knows I am!

I was thinking about what I was going to post today. I had either a collection of great fall lips or best fall scent but then realized that would be a lot of fall posts together.

Shit, it is just now fall I have plenty of time to get those up.

SO I was sitting in my illustrator class today (I swear I was trying to pay attention) thinking about what to post instead.

THEN it hit me! Umm Hello you are sitting in the fucking class!

I had recently realized Indesign and illustrator where becoming popular computer programs I knew ZIP about!

I am no tech person as it is so I figured if I wanted to land my “dream job” (whatever the fuck that is) a good place to start is with the tech.

I am taking both Indesign and illustrator this semester ( if you would like a post on indesign please comment below)

Let’s begin with I have no artistic bone in my body! My human’s are freaking stick figures and sometimes people still have no idea what I drew!

So far I have had two assignments. One was to draw a MP3 player the 2nd a guitar. Now before you think it was free hand they outline was already there. We just had to create it with the tools on illustrator.

Now you might think “hell trace? that’s easy!” Well maybe for some. IF it was on paper and I was using a pencil I might agree with you.

I have learned you can do some pretty amazing things with this program. Such as: Business cards, logo’s, packaging designs (with picture’s and logo’s) and much more!

My instructor create’s things for company’s all the time.

We were assigned our 3rd project and it is to recreate a fucking comic book cover! It is our choice but that so does not make it any better! ( I was quietly freaking out during class)

I told myself if i could do this project then making logo’s and whatnot should be a breeze!

Anyway…I would recommend you get to know this program if you plan to be a graphic designer or something along those lines.

It would be a good program to have on your resume as well!!

If you have any specific questions don’t be afraid to ask!

How to improve yourself and your relationships.

Hello Darings!

Have you ever felt like your in a rut? Just doing the same thing over and over? Not giving time for yourself or others?

In the last few weeks I have changed a few things in my route that have helped out my stress levels.

If you have been with me long you know I have really bad anxiety and stress. So bad I’m 29 yrs old and have to take blood pressure pills!

Last Thursday was Jake’s Birthday. He took some vacation time to be able to enjoy it.

SO he took off Thursday-Tuesday. (A nice little vaca)

I had made reservations for dinner to celebrate his birthday. We had a very lovely time (4 bottles of champagne lovely time) then Friday morning came!

We had to get up early to head out of town since we had plans to meet up with friends and his mother in Wichita Ks.

On the way we discussed why we don’t drink very often LOL and that we should really try to make time to go out every now and then.

It got me thinking about making a “date night” where we would go out and forget our worries.

The rest of the vacation was pretty boring (not complaining it was very relaxing)

I read a lot and enjoyed having a nice cup of hot tea in the evenings.

I’m sure a lot of folks already eat dinner at their table but Jake and I did not.

We adopted a dog. Her name is JJ and she is a terrier mix. ( a little pain in the ass LOL but I love her)

We used to sit in the living room and catch up on some of our TV shows while we ate dinner.

Not that we have miss JJ that is a problem lol She loves to jump and it can be a problem.

We cleaned off our table (I swear is was like a huge bench to store CRAP) and began to eat our meals there.

We talk about our what happened that day at work, or discuss things that need to be done, or anything else that comes to mind.

Since we have started doing this I feel like we have reconnected.

IT may not seem like a whole lot but small changes or a nice place to start.

We plan to do the P90X 60 day challenge together as well.

As for things for myself….

I have been enjoying bubble baths with my lush bombs, and reading! IT takes my mind away from everything else that is going on around here.

I will say I am still not sleeping the greatest but one step at a time.

This is what we had for Jake’s Bday! IT was delicious

If you follow me on Snapchat then you saw the Bday events! (JustRobecca)

Later this week I will be doing a post on “organizing on a budget” so stay tuned for that! You can sub by email or follow on bloglovin so you never miss out on a post!

One of those weeks….

My Girls!!

Sorry I missed Monday and Tuesday’s post! This past weekend was a long one! Just a real emotional drainer!

I said goodbye to the military life this weekend, Not that I won’t see my friends anymore…it is just not going to be the same in some ways.

I was not expecting it to pull a few emotional punches to the gut! So I slept pretty much the whole day Monday then Tuesday was my birthday. I know it is supposed to be a happy day but it was complete crap!

So I ate ice cream and watched movies (pathetic I know but it’s my party and I can if I want to)

Today I woke up on a positive note and slowly am getting out of my funk.

I did finally purchase this!!!! I am so excited for it to get here! I have been waiting Champagne pop ever since I heard Jaclyn Hill talk about it on her channel!! She is amazing and I love her videos You should really check her out if you don’t watch her!!

I will do a review on it after I have wore it for a while (if it will hurry and get here) and let you know my thoughts. If you have already given it a go what are your thoughts???

There will be quite a few product reviews coming in the next couple of weeks. I have gotten several new things to try! I am  really excited to try them all out!!

My hot tea concoction has come handy the last 2 day’s. Jake and I both woke up Monday feeling like we had went out partying the night before. I guess coming from Kansas back to Oklahoma does something to the allergies.

It is the weirdest thing but every time we come home we get all stuffed up. I think it is time we invested in humidifier. There is one at whole foods I have heard good things about. I just need to go get it along with some of the oils. I will go more in to detail after I have check it out.

For now hot tea with cinnamon and Jack is doing the trick. Do you have any advice???

That pretty much summons up my week so far! Sorry nothing exciting to share but tomorrow will be back to usual.

Till the next time
