Updated Healthy Tips

Hello Darlings!

Today I just wanted to update some of my vitamins I have discussed before along with a few other things.

I am a huge tea drink now I love coffee as well but tea is for my evenings. I really enjoy drinking a cup after dinner. Yogi is a brand I like because of the variety you can see they offer. During the flu/allergy season it is a must. I always pick up the stress (with lavender honey taste better), cold season sampler (it has the mix for all your needs) and detox.

I add a little honey to them all and it is great! At this very moment I am doing the detox tea 3 times a day with a tablespoon of honey. I will do just one box and give my body a rest. My digestion never seems to run right no matter how well I eat, or supplements I take so doing this once in a while seems to help.

I have recently gotten off the depo provera birth control shot after being on it for 12 years. I know that is a long time and has taken a huge toll on my body. I am starting to get breakouts in the normal hormonal areas and thought about trying skin detox from yogi next to see if I noticed any difference.

I have mentioned before that I take a probiotic twice a day. This is my normal brand I take and have had really good results. I have thought about trying some from my local health food store but they where $50+ and decided it was not worth it.

I am religious about taking a magnesium supplement twice a day. Magnesium has a lot of great benefits and I know you can get if from food such as leafy greens but I am positive I do not get enough from food alone. Magnesium can be great for those that don’t sleep well, migraines, and anxiety. I do not remember where I bought the ones in pic but I have just been getting mine from my local vitamin store. I also use this and I love it! If I am stressing over something at night I will make me a cup of this and it really does calm me down and I sleep very well.

I have been trying out some Vitamin D supplements as well and as soon as I find a favorite I will let you know!

Dry Spray Deodorant….

Hello Darlings!

Let’s talk about a dry spray deodorant that you can easily buy at Walgreens!

I was lucky enough to be chosen by influenster to try out these deodorants.

As you can see from the picture above one was for me to try and one was for Jake to try.

We have been using these for a few weeks now and I have no complaints right now.

First, I love it is a dry spray! It leaves NO white streaks left behind is a beautiful thing.

Second, it lasts all day! I prefer organic/all natural deodorant normally but it can be a pain to find a good one that lasts over 8 hrs.

This one lasts at least 12 (that is the longest I have put it to the test).

Third, is that the bottle goes a good distance. When I first got it I thought my money would go to waste due to how fast I would go through this but actually it still seems full even though I have used it for a few weeks now.

If you have been looking to try something new for summer where you will be wearing tanks, swim suits, etc. that shows them under arms this is it.

Nobody likes to worry about clumps of deodorant showing and with this product you don’t have anything to worry about.

Morning Detox Drink!

Hello Darlings!

I’m so sorry I was not able to post yesterday. My damn internet was not working right! It said I was connected yet nothing would connect?! Fucking technology!

Anyway yesterday I was going to do this post about what I have been loving to drink in the morning.

I figured I would still do that today.

A blogger I absolutely adore and admire mentioned her detox drink that she puts together every single morning. I am going to put the post here. If you do not already follow her blog I highly recommend it.

She has an app for her blog plus she created the TSC Body Bombshell workout and I love it! If you would be interested in that I can send you an email. Just hit me up on my social or email.

TSC really does her research and she looks amazeballs so I have tried many of her recommendations and she never fails!

So every morning I follow her recipe. I like spicy just as much as her so I do add a lot like her. I have been doing this for about 3 months now and I really feel it helps me get my mojo going in the morning.

Now I did not give up my coffee! LOL I have to have that to get me out of bed.

My morning goes something like this:

Get ass out of bed and make way to kitchen. Make coffee and add almond milk. About half way through my coffee I am starting to wake up. I then go make the TSC pink detox drink and drink that while I get ready for the day.

I make sure to finish the whole drink. Then the rest of the day I drink water. I love the La Croix water in coconut sometimes I will mix it up with tea.

If you have been wanting to try something new that is not harsh on the body for a detox give this a try!

Yummy Lentil Soup!

Hello Darlings!

Half of the week is already gone! It is down hill from here!

Last night I made a new soup for Jake and I. I have had a lentil soup before in culinary school but this was Jake’s first.

I got the recipe off of Pinterest and this is the link to the recipe. I did not follow the recipe.

I added more carrots and celery but honestly Jake and I agreed it could of had more. The only spice I used was cumin. I did not add salt since I used organic vegetable broth. I did get the low sodium but it still has way to much salt.

I added black pepper, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes to my individual serving. Jake just added black pepper.

I ate main with nothing added but Jake ate his with ritz crackers. I feel the next time I make this not only will I add more veggies to the pot but make some cheese bread as well.

I bought my lentils at Whole Foods. I believe they were the green ones.

I will be trying a few other new things this month since we are still going strong on the no fast food challenge.

Serious Tooth Pain!

Hello Darlings!

There I was waking up Sunday morning and my whole left side of my face hurt like a bitch and was swollen! WTF

Monday morning I called my dentist office and set up an appointment. They got me in yesterday late afternoon and I got some horrible news!

Okay, I suppose it could be so much worse but it is awful to me.

So about 3 years ago I had a cavity and of course got it fixed. I thought everything was good since my last check up seemed to go pretty good.

NOPE, the tooth I got fixed 3 fucking years ago was not done very good or something!

In the x-ray you could see that the cavity was really I mean really close to the nerve. It would appear the last dentist did not remove all the cavity or something because the filling is on top of the cavity! WHAT?!

I have to have a root canal! I don’t wanna too! LOL I have not had to have one and I have heard some horrible stories.

My appt. is not until NOV. 4th because I am taking amoxicillin to get rid of the infection that this tooth has caused on my left side! BOO.

I have been taking that along with 800mg Ibuprofen to dull the pain. It does nothing. It will kind of dull the pain for about 5 mins and no I am not being a drama queen.

So that is how my week has gone so far LOL.

Any buddy else have this kind of problem? How bad is it to get a root canal???? They are going to give me valium to help with pain during the procedure.

I am hoping to be as high as a kite so I will not realize what is going on till after I get home and just have a sore mouth.
