July’s Birchbox ’16

Hello Darlings!

Sorry about last week! My state boards exam was last Thursday morning so I spend every waking moment studying! I hope it paid off. I have to wait 4 weeks to receive the results!

I’m sure most of you have heard of Birchbox before. If you are already a subscriber comment below and tell us what you got in yours! IF you are not a subscriber it is $10 a month and here is a link for you to become one!

I will say some months are better than others! I have found brands from here that I would have probably not heard of if I wasn’t a subscriber. I find that I hate foil packets and perfume samples. I feel those are things I can get for free from a store so getting it in the box is just crap!

Since I hate foil packets we will start with them to get them out of the way.

Oribe is a very luxurious brand in my opinion. It is very pricey but works wonders! The price for these is $49 each! Check it out here if interested. I myself will stick with my Biolage shampoo and conditioner which works just fine in my opinion.

These smelled great and I liked using them but still disappointing they were foil packets and that it is very pricey.

I have used other things from the brand Coola and enjoyed them. The sunscreen and setting spray are some of my favorites but I don’t use them very often because they are more expensive than other brands.

For those of you that enjoy being out in the sun with out SPF this would be good for you. It is repair after sun lotion. I have used this a few times on my face after being out in the sun ( I had sunscreen on) and my skin looks a little red. I did not notice anything magical but if I had a sunburn the agave in it would have helped calm my skin down. This product in a full size retails for $32.

If you have been reading my posts for awhile you know I love masks. This one is from a brand called Balance Me and is a radiance face mask. I used this during the week when I felt my skin needed a little help. It is a clay formula that helps cleanse, exfoliate, and brighten skin. I really enjoyed it and hope to try a few other products from this brand. This product in full size retails for $34

Dr. Jart+ is one of my favorite lines! I have tried several products and enjoyed them! This product is a hydrating moisturizer that retails for $36. You know I love having hydrated skin so I was excited to see this. This is a little different because it uses green tea extract. I am still using it and love how my skin feels.

I have used some other lip and eyeshadow products from this line called LOC which stands for Love of Color. The lipsticks I had gotten before where from a collab they did with a Youtuber named Tati. I really enjoy all 3 of them. I have received a few eyeshadow sticks and they are a nice formula.

This is a Ultra-gloss lip pencil in the color – Punch Line. It has a nice shine to it and feels nice on the lips. I wore it over the weekend and it is a nice pink for summer which you can see in pic below.

This is the full size and it is $12 on the birchbox website. It is a really nice gloss to have on hand in your handbag.

Lastly, we have the Mascara from Benefit. A lot of people really like the “They’re Real” mascara but I’m not to crazy about it. I have received several travel samples like this and I do use them. (Like I would let a mascara go to waste!) I will say it stays put! I like to use this when it is going to be a long, hot day! The formula is fine but my eyes don’t seem to care for it. My eyes will start to itch about half way through the day so I only use it when I really need a mascara to stay. The full size price is $24.

I would love to hear what you got in your box this month and what your thoughts on them were.

If you like this posts later this month I will be doing my IPSY and SEPHORA PLAY bags.
